(Davis, CA — June 9, 2012) - This month marks the 10th anniversary of the initial release of Tux Paint, the award-winning open source drawing application for children. To celebrate, we are holding a birthday-themed drawing contest. Kids from around the world are invited to draw a picture of how they think Tux Paint's birthday should be celebrated — a cake, a party, presents, a quiet day spent painting, etc.

Open to any child aged 3 to 12, the winner of the contest will have their drawing displayed on the Tux Paint website, and highlighted on the Tux Paint page on Facebook, for the remainder of this month.

Submissions are due by midnight, Pacific Standard Time (UTC-0700), on June 15, 2012. The winner will be announced, and their photo placed online, on June 16, 2012, Tux Paint's 10th birthday.
