Tips to using Tux Paint via Flatpak

Sending command-line arguments to Tux Paint
Invoke Tux Paint from a shell, script, or launcher via flatpak run org.tuxpaint.Tuxpaints, with arguments to Tux Paint at the end (e.g., flatpak run org.tuxpaint.Tuxpaint --fullscreen=no).
Access my ~/.tuxpaintrc personal configuration file and ~/.tuxpaint/ personal directory
flatpak --filesystem=~/.tuxpaintrc --filesystem=~/.tuxpaint run org.tuxpaint.Tuxpaint --nosysconfig
Run Tux Paint in other locales (languages)
Add the language(s) you want, by issuing the command flatpak config --set extra-languages "XX;YY;ZZ;...", where "XX", "YY", etc. are two-letter locale codes (e.g., "es" for Spanish, "he" for Hebrew, etc.). Then issue the command flatpak update.

That will install, among other things, the "org.tuxpaint.Tuxpaint.Locale" package.

You may then run, e.g., flatpak run org.tuxpaint.Tuxpaint --lang=hebrew

Did you know? Tux Paint is named after Tux the penguin, the mascot of the Linux operating system. "Tux" is short for tuxedo.
